Robert Downey Jr., known for his iconic roles and charismatic personality, also boasts an impressive car collection that mirrors his eclectic taste and love for automobiles. Let's take a peek inside his garage and explore some of the stunning vehicles that make up his collection.

1. 1965 Chevrolet Corvette

A classic American muscle car, this Corvette is Downey's dream car, showcasing his appreciation for timeless designs and powerful performance.

It's the Great American sports car, the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. GM introduced this second generation Corvette in 1963 and it's been a favorite among collectors ever since. And this one comes in a color Chevrolet first introduced in 1965, Nassau Blue. To go along with the matching blue interior. This one is going to be a showstopper.  CT and I'm very excited to show you Andrew drive this 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. Now before I drive it we have to look at the engine. It's what makes this Corvette stand apart from others because it has the big block 396V8 engine.

1965 was the only year that Chevy offered the L 78396 in the Corvette. It comes with a holly 4 barrel carburetor and produces 425 horsepower. It is driven by a four speed manual transmission and this car there is just over 14,000 miles on it. One has the bulge in the hood to make way for the big black engine on the coops. The rear window is large and curved given the back it's recognizable shape and design, and the side pipes give the car a mean look and sound. Inside, the blue seats, dash carpets, and door panels will all make you feel anything but blue. They're all in excellent condition with minimal wear. This Stingray comes from a collection of a Corvette aficionado and collector that has receipts for parts purchased, manuals, and the National Corvette Restorer Society certificate.

2. 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302

This iconic Mustang is a testament to Downey's love for vintage American cars, combining style with raw horsepower.

Well, in 1969 the original Boss 302 came out and Ford sold about 1600 vehicles in total. They were actually producing it for the Trans Am race series. In 1970. Ford built the total of about 190,000 Mustangs. Of the 190,000 Mustangs, the three models that had the lowest production quantities were the convertible little over 7500 built, the Boss 302 where you had a little over 7000 built, and then of course the Outra Rare Boss 429. The Boss fame came because people said you could Rev those engines to heaven. These cars, when you'd get them out on the street, they would Revand they would race like you wouldn't believe. OK, no comparison tothe original 6566 pony cars per SE. What made the Boss great?

Well, you started off with a 5 liter V8, solid lifter, 290 horsepowerwith 290 foot pounds of torque.Throw on a Holly Double Pumper 780 cab and you have plenty of fuelto take care of that thirsty engine.Growing up in New England where you have a lot of windy roads up and down hills, this was the perfect car. In 1970, Pinelli Jones won the Trans Am Racing series with his Boss 302 in this identical color combination of grabber orange with theblack striping. This vehiclebeautiful car has only 16,000 original miles. I'm the third original owner.

3. 1974 BMW 3.0 CS

A blend of luxury and sportiness, the BMW 3.0 CS reflects Downey's penchant for European elegance.

The perfect design, but still discreet. One could describe the BMW 3 Point O CSI as a diamond of automobile history.   This car is not boastful, it's impressive.  For many, the three-point O CSI was a symbol of prestige, an elegant vehicle. There are many distinguished names who purchased such a vehicle.  For them, it wasn't just a beautiful, attractive, elegant vehicle, but a powerful one that took them where they wanted to go quickly or on vacation.

The original coupe series of the BMW 3 Point O CSI, known implant as the E9, dates back to plans from 1962. In 1968, the E9 was unveiled in the form of the BMW 2800 CS. It was replaced by the BMW 3 Point O CS in 1971. The same year saw the release of the BMW 3 Point O CSI with fuel injection and 200 horsepower.   The allure of the three-point O CSI is that you have a relatively high engine performance in a very attractive carriage.

It was, at the time, the top vehicle of the BMW program for 29,440 D mark. It wasn't cheap, but a successful vehicle selling more than 8000 copies. The auto body of the coupe produced by Carmen and Osnabrook required the hand of a real gentleman to steer it. The missing B pillar and small window posts accentuate its lightweight but conceal, as in the case of a true gentleman, what is hidden beneath the sheet metal tuxedo. You got around fast. The car had a top speed of 220 kilometers per hour.

That was a great achievement for the 70s.

The same applied for the six cylinder motor of the three liter CSI. As for the other inline 6 cylinders from BMW. They were very reliable and held for a long time.    A custom made suit that fits perfectly at every seam, elegantly, dynamically, harmoniously. Just as with the suit, it is the perfection which this vehicle timelessly displays almost 40 years after its appearance.

4. 2009 Audi R8

As a nod to his Iron Man character, Downey owns an Audi R8, a car known for its sleek design and high performance.

The 2009 Audi R8 is the German automaker's racing inspired 2 door mid engine coupe. Those demanding a supercar from the Quattro brand can now hunker down in the cockpit of this aluminum and carbon fiber beauty. The R8 is powered by a 420 horsepower 4.2 liter direct fuel injection V8.
Power is sent to Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive through either A6 speed manual gearbox or A6 speed artronic gearbox that shifts via computer controlled clutch and steering mounted paddle shifters. Fuel economy for the R8 ranges from 13 miles per gallon city to 19 miles per gallon highway.
Even with the all performance features of the R8, this is still a capable daily driver that uses electromagnetic shocks to smooth out the bumps. Of course, heads will turn when the R8 rumbles through town with its LED lit V8 on display through a plexiglass engine compartment cover.

As a 996 owner on overall 911 fan and Musk can see that I've never truly understood why this is important, but here we are. This contributes to the values of 93, which are not quite significant. The days of cheap 993 are well and truly behind us. In fact you'll be lucky to find one anywhere of any variance for much less than 40 pounds in U.S. dollars and even went with a high mileage as we would discover some models score for multiples of that. So firstly to the basics.

The question 993 is the 4th generation of 911, its superseded the 964. And was launched in 1994 for the 1995 US model year. It had a relatively. Show life cycle and production was handed over to the 996 model in 1998. So combine the concept of it being the last air cooled car and the low production numbers and you get strong demand for what is a well designed pretty. Today it was changed to be a stuck change in the engineering of banana level range compared with predecessor. HEM 64 engine was carried over from the 964. It was significant refined in couple with a new 6 speed manual gearbox or 4 speed check tronic. The end result was a car that actually only shared just 20% of its parts with its predecessor.

      11. 2010 Fisker Karma

A unique addition, the Fisker Karma represents Downey's interest in eco-friendly yet stylish vehicles.

This is a 2010 Fisker Karma now. A prototype of the showed up last year at the Detroit Auto Show. This is the real thing coming at the end of 2009 now. Listen to this $80,000. With the tax incentive that probably sounds pretty good, even if this is just like a Lamborghini competitor or whatever. It's actually a plug in hybrid. Now the roof is a solar panel yes uh curved huge. It is standard. What it does is it keeps the battery charged, helps keep it charged while it's sitting. It doesn't really propel the car, but if there a sunny day every day for a week, you get 4 miles of range on it. This is the inferior you can get 7 different types, 8 different exterior colours. Now its electric car does it drives on electric power only it doesn't need the transmission, so it doesn't need a shifter.

This actually just our hand brass basically with an on and off button here. And this is how you shift, you know, drive neutral cover. Here's like this, don't usually have more doors. Someone who don't even have the back seats. This one has 4 doors. To see I'm 6 feet tall, I actually fitting, it's amazing. It's a big car, but. Now all 4 wheels are driven. Its all wheel drive huge 22 inch wheels. Take a look around the back here see this that might not look like a you're normal exhaust outlet because its not its actually a speaker. They say it's totally quiet cause it runs battery remote. You can have it broadcast some kind of noice jet fighter noise, whatever you want just so it safe for and you know kind of cool. Now there are 2 electric motors, but they are back here Want to either side of the differential. Drives all 4 wheels perfectly silent, zero to 65.8 seconds. You can go up to 50 miles before you need to turn on the generator

This isn't like most hybrids, only electric motors actually propel the car. This gas engine it looks like a normal one. Is actually just driving a generator when you need it or for extra power. Happens to be a 2 litre turbocharged engine from General Motors. How you notice the vents here because the engines in the front here they have the exhaust single exhaust download on this side and this just lets cooling air, warm air come out. Both sides. So here at the same show where you get the regular Karma Sudan, a new prototype that next year will be a real product. It's the Karma South. The concept is called the Sunset. It has 2 doors, a little bit smaller, smaller back seat. Retractable hardtop. Basically same idea, it's a plug in hybrid. No idea on the cost yet but they say it will be here in a year. 12. 2011 Bentley Continental GT

The Continental GT is a blend of luxury and power, fitting perfectly with Downey's versatile taste.

welcome to the world premiere of the Bentley Continental V8. Let me introduce to you a very special driver, 5 times limo winner, Bentley Motors brand ambassador and good friend Terracycle. Hi, Derek. How are you? Thank you. Baldrick, you have been with Bentley for a long time, You have been involved with many RT projects so far. What is your impression about this one? Well, I always loved driving new cars and I have to say it was a really big surprise. I was a bit nervous about the car in the first place, but I have to say we took it out on the roads and the first thing that came to mind was that this is actually.

Perhaps you are existing when the owners, but for every opinion of new generation of owners, its really very exciting and I think we're gonna get a lot of interest with it. The sound is unmistakable, the deep crowl that only can be aviate. But this is a new generation of V8, an engine so efficient it can travel over 500 miles on a single tank and at the same time go from zero to 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds. All this in a car with a luxury, quality and craftsmanship there can only be, frankly. Not only will it deliver the sporting performance expected of a Continental. But it will do so with a staggering 40% improvement in fuel economy.

This is state of the art VH technology. The most ground breaking technology of all is variable displacement. The activating cylinders when not needed, drive at a steady speed or decelerate and 4 out of 8 cylinders go idle, unrecognizable to the driver. Press on the throttle however NT engine seamlessly road expect to full capacity. However, N engines seamlessly raw respect to full capacity and the driver is instantly delivered the full power of the V8. And that power comes in force. 500 brake horse power at 6:00, 1000 rpms, 668 metre or 487 foot pound of torque available across almost the entire refrige. Zero to 60 in 4.66 tons and the top speed of 188 mph delivered smoothly, quickly and more efficiently by a new close ratio 8 speed automatic transmission.

The V8 will feature in post the GT and the new Continental GTC. Deliveries will begin this spring. Global sales for the year were open impressive 37% to 7003 cars. China is customers like any other. They respect craftsmanship, luxury and quality, and they see these qualities delivered authentically by Bentley. Ladies and gentlemen, Pinky will continue to live up to this expectations to make cars which reflect changing customer demand, changing social expectations and ever changing technologies. The new weight is proof of this approach, a car with the technology to cross countries on a single tank, but with the acceleration and style that is typically Bentley.

And it's doing so by bringing out cool, funky luxury and aspirational products like this, the model SA5 door luxury hatchback. The Model S is available in five specifications as an entry level 75, which gets a single electric motor at the rear to power the rear wheels. The rest of the range she's 75D100D and the Performance 100D not only get the motor at the back, but also a motor at the front to make them all-wheel drive. This thing's absolutely packed full of. Designer touches from the very stylish wing mirrors to the pop out door handles and the frameless front and rear doors.

Now being a hatchback you get a big opening to the boot. It's electrically operated and can be opened off the key. The it's not too high, there's a bit of a drop to the boot floor. Inside, but not too tragic, this parcel shelf will fold up and that opens up a nice big flat floor. It's not totally square, but it's actually very usable. Downside is a big storage area, and underneath this little flap here is a huge storage space for your charging cables or whatever else you want to put in there. Now the fact that this has got electric motors, one in the front, one in the rear gives you extra storage. And that bonus storage is at the front, so you get a nice deep well in here for whatever you can't fit in the back. That's really very Porsche like. Now the dashboard is dominated by 17 inch color touchscreen system that controls pretty much everything in this car. So go to controls, you can change the suspension, driving your trip, computer displays all sorts.

Then going to your apps, you've got navigation. Music. Then there's Internet, whilst your calendar will sync to your phone, tell you what appointments you've got and navigate you there should you wish. Using the navigation system you can have this as split. Or have it as the full screen. This has the optional luxury packs. There's a few extras in here that don't come standard with a car, including this optional carbon fibre trim finish. The instrument bicycle is digital and is absolutely beautiful. To the right. I've got what power I'm using over the last 30 miles. It tells me how much range. Left the temperature and a really nice basic navigation. It's just very simplified but beautifully done in here. There's a lot of Mercedes switch gear, including the window controls, the gear selector and the wipers. There's also cruise control selector, but this model frustrating has had all its autonomous technology switched off by the press team, so I'm not. Able to test any of that during our route which is really frustrating. The seat is electrically operated and has a really good range of adjustment including electronic lumbar support.

The seat itself is really comfortable and quite supportive. It's not too figure hugging so you can be a larger chap in here and still be comfortable. In the lower seating position, thanks to the summary of I've got plenty of headroom and it feels luxurious and spacious around. There's no storage in the door bin, but that's made U for elsewhere. There's a big tray below the infotainment system. This slide back tray here with two cup holders in it and then they tilt back compartment that's got a USB connector. More folks socket and they little socket for my iPhone 6 between these seats. Slide that back for two more cup holders and that's your lot. There's a clip box on that side which is operated by that electronic button. In the back you get a nice big wide opening and then sink into these comfy luxurious leather seats. The shape of the seats in front is really intriguing and you get an amazing view out.

There's again no door bin and no other storage back here. It is a couple of USB ports. There's a huge flat floor. So you can get three in very comfortably indeed. I've got plenty of leg, knee room and justice. Enough headroom for me at 5 foot 9. Use the guest selector in the same way you do in any Mercedes. Push down to go back up to neutral, up the top to reverse, and then push in the sides to part. What strikes you instantly as you put away in the Model S is not how luxurious the car is, not the size of it or how much it costs, but it's how easy it is. It is a milk float just to pull away. There's a pedal to go and a pedal to stop. Now, that pedal stop doesn't always have to be used. The regenerative braking kicks in as soon as you come off the accelerator and the car slows quite rapidly, so you can find yourself just using the one pedal for quite a long time.

We're testing the Tesla 100D that develops 417 battery, limited horsepower and 487 LB feet of torque. Now that's enough to get it from standstill to 60 miles an hour in 4.1 seconds. Even though the P100D is faster than this 100 D, you still don't get bored when you sync. The right pedal of just what the acceleration response is, your heads flung into the headrest behind and you are pinned into your seat. In fact, I must confess to having a little bit of fun with my wife over the weekend when she was trying to bend forward to get things out of her bag and, thanks to the Tesla G forces, couldn't move. It's also a different form of acceleration that you're generally used to. It's just one single pull. It goes and keeps going and just keeps going at the same rate. It's really smooth. I'm just very, very impressive. Overtaking opportunities are almost everywhere. There's spaces that you just wouldn't even dare to in most cars, even performance cars. But this just because it reacts so quickly, you'll just round something instantly. And it's worth bearing on that because of Tesla responds so quickly, other people on the road won't be used to that. So you have to sort of forward think their reactions.

The fact that this car can do up to three hundred 320 miles without a recharge is really impressive and it's a Peace of Mind that gives you. You actually do drive a little bit slower because you just want it to last, but you're also in the knowledge that you don't have to. You can drive normally how you would drive any combustion car, but there's just something. Beside you. That makes you slow down, relax a bit more and take it easy. Unless you think the right foot again. Yes, does handle impressively well. There can be a little bit of roll sometimes, but generally it stays very flat. It's most likely to understeer out of a corner, so you'll just have to apply it a little bit more steering or back off a little sometimes, but generally it's a fun thing to drive. Especially with that performance at the ready, these steering is wonderfully light at low speed. So going around car parks tighter areas in town it's brilliant and it's stiffens up on the move it's generally pretty consistent there's no dead spots and it's well weighted the all-wheel drive system and this is really very impressive it's. Only been the worst of wet roads when I've really flawed it that I felt anything near a squirm. But the majority of the time it's brilliantly planted, very settled and really grippy.

The majority of the time the ride is luxuriously soft. It's as though you're on a magic carpet just floating down the road. It's really lovely. The damping with it is then well contained, so you're not too lofty or wallowy. It's just very, very cleverly judged, very comfortable indeed. Now you do get the odd occasion where it does crash a little. This is wearing huge 21 inch alloy wheels and it is quite a sporty ride, so that doesn't come as a surprise. Or shock, but something to be aware of that down the worser roads it can be a little bit choppy sometimes. Down to the lack of combustion engine and the levels of refinement in this car, it is supremely quiet. There are some wind noise on the motorway coming from the front pillars, but generally it's not bad at all. You can almost whisper along. As usual, conversation progresses now because this is so quiet, you will notice any rattle. In the cabin and there have been a couple, they've changed different places.

It's not been bad. This is a well appointed luxury vehicle. I have the driver seat and the lowest setting but I feel quite high up. I've got quite a good view out. These pillars are all decently sized, are quite girthy, so that does restrict a little bit of view. Particularly when you're looking over to the left and over the shoulder. But this has front and rear parking sensors and they're very clear rear camera. Something that struck me is how popular the Tesla is, the number of people that stop, stare, have a look or want to have a quick chat to you about it. There's still a huge intrigue about this car, even though it's been out for many years now. Well, the Model S really is a terrific motor. It's good to drive, it's comfortable, and it's luxurious. Yes, it costs a lot, but I think it actually justifies it. It's got all the benefits of electric power without many of the drawbacks. And with a range of over 300 miles, it really does take away a lot of that anxiety. Thanks for watching Check out the website for the. 18. 2020 Audi e-tron GT

As an advocate for sustainability, Downey's collection wouldn't be complete without the all-electric Audi e-tron GT.

You have very special challenges when designing an electric car that has to be also sporty. You have different aerodynamics, you have a different layout in total. But we managed to turn this around into advantages. So we design a very low car which still has all the Audi DNA. And that was the strong point about this project. Detroit TV stands exactly for that. What we love at our sport a maximum of daily usability combined with intelligent performance in a just a beautiful design. This is a modern interpretation of a classical grant abismo. We combine on one end performance and comfort on the other.

This is visible in exterior design by this aerodynamic features like air cotton flush rocker, this sharp edges and the rear quattro muscle which is shaped very dramatic. You can really feel the sculpture, the tension between the surfaces and how the volumes are really pure and strong. At the front, we still have our Audi face, we still have our single frame on the side and the general proportion. We still emphasize the quattro and the low center of gravity and a very puristic design very typical for Audi.

Lead from GT interior defined by two aspects, sportiness and also comfort. Sportiness is achieved by a strong tribal focus and makes you feel like you're really sitting in a cockpit. Spaciousness is achieved by taking the volume of the interior and organizing them in horizontal layers. Giving you a sense of how wide this interior is. Every material has a different dimension. We are talking about the invisible or even the difficult to express. He's very important to bring to our client or in our product readable material in the atrocity. We are very proud to to propose some option leather free. The glass of the material is something that we work a lot, never to shine you never too much and I think the effect is is already totally essence Audi.

The old Iron GT comes with an 800 Volt system and a maximum charging power of 270 kilowatt. That allows us to recharge the etron GT from 5 to 80% in just 22.5 minutes. Very important to realize that fast charging time is our intelligent terminal management system. With four different cooling circuits in extremely close collaboration with our designers, we developed the surfaces of the vehicle so that they have an aerodynamic function, but also an aesthetic function. We paid a lot of attention to the glazing concept, to the ceiling concept and also.

Used optimized wing mirror in order to achieve the outstanding drag coefficient of .24, which is very very good for a class of vehicle of this type. I would say that to all, the Trinity is the new branch shaper. It's our highlight and our portfolio. It is a very consistent design. The front, the side, the back in hall of its proportion, everything comes together as one. That's why I think it's a very good result. Like a tailor made suit, the materials, just the feeling of the of the steering wheel, of course the toleration. For me it's always to be a step ahead. You know, I'm working for for many years already as a professional designer. I did many cars with my team, but each GT is by far the most attractive car I designed in my career.

                  • 19. 1967 Chevrolet Camaro

A vintage beauty, the 1967 Camaro is a testament to Downey's love for classic American cars.

A lot. Camera. Fiery new creation from Chevrolet. Camaro but new car, that's something. Something you've never seen before in a driving machine. This is the S350 with rally sport equipment, wicked black grill and a fuselage the bulges around a 350 cubic inch V8 engine shape for action all the way back to its sporty rear deck. Hot Springs and shock wide car stamps for rude hugging stability come narrow SS350 road rally stripes circling the front. New safety features are standard equipment. Among them, the new GM developed energy absorbing steering columns. Backseat up, back seat down. You can order yours with special instrumentation too. Camaro in coupe or convertible and whatever you can handle like hideaway headlights. Big car engine. Camera lean and multi. And viewers, Chevrolet dealers.

                          20. 1969 Chevrolet Corvette

Another Corvette in his collection, this 1969 model showcases Downey's consistent admiration for this American icon.

Chevrolets incomparable Corvette. There's nothing like it on the road. But this car comes closest. They all knew Camaro were 1969. In the two years since its introduction, Camaro has mapped and tested competition to become a real running partner to Corvette. Let's bring these two great cars in for a closer look at their features. Although the Corvette appearance is essentially unchanged up front, there's a new plastic grill, modified front Fender loopers with optional bright trim at a modified rear end panel. All Corvettes feature new press flap door handles that eliminates the door push button and headlamp washers are now standard equipment for all Corvettes and all other Chevrolet lines equipped with the retractable headlamp option. The watchers operate anytime the windshield washer button is depressed and held as this diverts windshield washer fluid to the headlamp nozzles. Corvette windshield washers are also new, as the spray nozzles are now mounted in the wiper arms near the center of the blade. Water is sprayed onto the glass twice during each downstroke, so the washing action is more effective, particularly at higher speeds. A new delta Tron with an interval voltage regulator is another Corvette feature.
